Destroy Morale or Communicate?

“The best morale exists when you never hear the word mentioned. When you hear a lot of talk about it, it`s usually lousy.” — Dwight D. Eisenhower

Most leaders want their team to remain engaged in their work, dedicated to the project, especially during challenging times.

The problem is that most leaders would rather gouge their eyes out than let their team know that funding is about to be pulled and their jobs are in jeopardy.

Yet, it`s this kind of honesty that opens the door to collaboration, creativity and ultimately securing funding and jobs.

So – if you can share, share. If you can`t share, share that you can`t share. Listen to their concerns and look out for your employees’ livelihood … if you do, they`ll watch out for yours.

Keeping it simple,
