Are you missing out on incredible career opportunities because of your fear of self-promotion? That nagging voice inside our heads often tells us not to step forward, not to ask for what we deserve, and not to share our accomplishments. But it’s time to silence that voice and unlock our true potential.

Until recently, I was unaware of how much that internal voice had hindered me from showcasing my own abilities. Interestingly, I am constantly inspired when I stumble upon a newspaper article about a successful woman entrepreneur. In fact, I make it a habit to find these women on social media, share their articles, and celebrate their achievements. Yet, when a neighbor noticed an article written about me and asked how I got the opportunity, I struggled with embarrassment.

“A friend who recommended me to be interviewed,” I said, at that moment. A few hours later, I was baffled by my inability to simply say, “I asked for it.” The fear of being perceived as too self-promoting momentarily hindered me from becoming the change I want to see in this world. A world where we have the courage to embrace our greatness and confidently showcase our passions and aspirations.

With that in mind, I want to share the article that was written about me with you!
