What is L3?

The Lewes Leadership Lunch is built on the idea that leaders grow best when they learn from each other. Each month, we host interactive luncheons featuring panel discussions, presentations, and facilitated conversations led by local leaders who share real-life insights, strategies, and stories.

The best part? Everyone contributes. Beyond the cost of lunch, we invite members to engage — whether by sharing insights, suggesting topics, participating in discussion, or one day stepping into a featured role.

Meet the Founder

Misti Burmeister

Hi, I’m Misti, founder of the Lewes Leadership Lunch. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with executives and leadership teams on the human side of leadership—communication, trust, difficult conversations, generational differences, and creating environments where people want to take ownership.

I’m an executive coach, keynote speaker, leadership facilitator, moderator, and author of four published books, with two more on the way. My first book, the bestselling From Boomers to Bloggers, grew from my work helping organizations bridge generational differences in the workplace.

Today, my work focuses on what happens before leaders react—those split-second moments when pressure, conflict, or uncertainty can turn into defensiveness, avoidance, overcontrol, or a decision that creates problems downstream. Through speaking, executive coaching, and leadership-team work, I help leaders recognize those moments sooner and respond differently—so difficult conversations happen earlier, people speak up when it matters, and teams spend less energy managing around one another and more energy moving the business forward.

I created L3 because I wanted something I kept hearing other leaders wanted, too: a place to move beyond networking, get beneath the surface, and actually learn with and from one another.
