To achieve a worthwhile goal can be quite difficult.

Challenging goals in life are, by their very nature, something which require extra effort.

Whether your goal is to become a successful world class speaker, writer, or athlete (or any other goal really), here are 2 tips to help reach your goals.

  1. Cheer (for yourself and others’ goals)
  2. Smile

Why cheering and smiling can help you reach your goals:

Every worthwhile goal is going to take some steps to achieve it.  Any time you are hearing someone cheer for you, it has the possibility to put a smile on your face.

Smiling helps to produce/release endorphins.  Endorphins are some of those chemicals that run around in your body and tell you that you feel good.

When you feel good about the progress and the steps you are taking toward your big goal, you are more likely to take *more* of those steps, thereby increasing the likelihood that you will achieve your goal.

So, when you want to achieve a big goal, make sure you are cheering for yourself, and encouraging others to cheer for you.  (I give the example of putting my name tag on my shirt so that people would know to cheer for me while I was running a marathon.)

This may sound overly simplified, but by using this strategy of cheering and smiling, as simple as it sounds, you can help yourself to reach you goals and the success you desire.
